Founded in 2012, The Shunammite Movement was created by two ambitious young women who felt that young women as a whole were not being empowered enough or represented in an effective way.
Our Mission
The Shunammite Movement is passionate about igniting ambition within women, particularly those aged between 14 to 25 years old. We are here to provide a unique platform for women in order to unlock their unlimited potential.
Our Platforms
We have a variety of platforms in order to inspire and motivate young women. One of which is SMTV our YouTube channel where we interview budding entrepreneurs as well as victorious women within different industries, providing young women with an insight into their journey through success.
Shaping Tomorrow’s Women
We also carry out a school programme and workshop called ‘Shaping Tomorrow’s Women’. In this programme we provide young women with the tools which are needed to transition into independence and womanhood productively.

The word ‘Shunammite’ derives from a biblical story about a woman of great influence, strength, integrity and determination. The Shunammite Movement intends to enable all the young women with the tools needed to embody these attributes.
