Around the Valentines day period, I notice a lot of people mysteriously
coupling up, taking selfies with captions like "date night with bae."
But two weeks prior they were screaming the single life! For some reason we
always need to feel attached or connected to someone at all times. Has the fear
of loneliness enslaved us in dead end relationships? Has it crippled our
ability to appreciate our OWN company?
We all have that one friend that invests all her energy into that prick
guy who disrespects her (even though he has no job, no ambition and is wearing
his net-worth every time you see him) just so she can go on a date in a
fancy restaurant (that she will probably pay) and take a f**king selfie. Only
to leave the restaurant with an empty purse and deflated self esteem.
